Task 1:
Tackle Your Ideas Systematically: To do that, write them down and develop a list of specific steps that you’ll take to accomplish them. Analyze how they fit with your vision while acknowledging what your current situation is – family, finances, and commitments. Finally, BE REALISTIC.
Task 2:
Acquire Knowledge & Skills to Accomplish the Vision: This is where education, training and work experience is important. The abundance of information on the internet means the risk of distraction is high. You must remain focused on what is relevant to your plan and your vision.
Task 3:
Find A Mentor: A reliable mentor can fine tune your ideas. Find a mentor who you can share your goals with and who will ensure accountability for the milestones you are committed to.
Task 4:
Keep Track of Your Lessons: Write down and review “lessons learned” be they from your successes or failures. And, do not let the failure of one business discourage you from starting another.
Task 5:
Cut Off Draining and Unnecessary Baggage: Evaluate what aspects of your life drain you on an emotional or a financial level. Once identified, find a way to limit their hold over you.
Task 6:
Assess how much time you have for a business: This is one of the most difficult steps, because starting and running a business takes time. Time many assume they have in spades. Failure to be frank about time leads to "burn out"—a killer of success.
Task 7:
Leave a legacy for the next generation: This requires that you share your successes and mistakes with those following in your footsteps. The successes will create a cushion for them and the lessons from the mistakes will provide a cautionary tale they can avoid.
